Temp-R-Tape
®
C
Manufactured from extruded Teflon
®
FEP and silicone pressure sensitive
adhesive. Transparent tape with many properties similar to tapes manufactured
from Teflon
®
TFE: non-stick surface, conformability, chemically inert. Highest
electrical strength in volts per mil of all Temp-R-Tapes of Teflon
®
, permitting
maximum electrical insulation with a minimum number of wraps. Ideal insulating
material for coils and transformers. Of special interest is its transparency, which is useful for “see-through”
identification on wiring harnesses. Thickness with adhesive - .003". Backing thickness - .002". Breaking strength - 8
lb/in width. Electric strength - 9,000 volts total. Temperature range: -100°F to 400°F. Elongation 275%.

HM Series
Manufactured from Teflon
®
TFE film which has been subjected to a unique
manufacturing process that lowers elongation and increases breaking strength
for easier handling. Chemically inert, weather resistant, stable, non-toxic, high
temperature resistance, with anti-friction properties. Applications include roll
covering on plastic extruder, masking during metal bonding, and wire
harnessing. HM350 stocked by American Packing has a thickness of .0035 inches with a backing thickness of .002
inches. It has a silicone adhesive with a breaking strength of 25 lb/in width, an electric strength of 7500 volts total, and a
temperature range of -100°F to +500°F. Elongation 150%.

Temp-R-Glas
®
Tape
Manufactured from Teflon
®
TFE impregnated fiberglass
fabric and high temperature silicone pressure sensitive
adhesive. Fiberglass provides dimensional stability and
restricts Teflon
®
cold flow under compressive load. It also
increase tear strength and cut-through resistance.
Chemically inert and wear resistant. Pressure sensitive
adhesives stick instantly without heat, water, or solvent
catalyst. Used on packaging equipment, such as L-sealers,
heat sealers, blister and form-and-fill equipment, where the
Teflon
®
surface provides quick release and smooth material
flow and the fiberglass reinforcement insures durability.
Also used as a non-stick, easily cleaned surface on chutes
and work tables. Silicone adhesive. Temperature range:
-100°F to 500°F. Elongation < 5%.
