Tall guide lug for use in large friction-drive
applications, including such pull-behind
units as grain carts and fluid tanks. (Not
suitable for positive drive.)
Tall guide/drive lug for use in either
friction or positive drive applications.
Drive lug for use in positive drive appli-
cations. Available in 3.5˝ (GA), 5.5˝ (GB),
and 7.5˝ (GC) widths. (Can also be used as
a friction guide lug in some applications.)

friction drive systems. Available only

Guide/Drive Lugs
Guide/Drive Lugs are the features on the inside surface of a rubber track which interface with
the undercarriage. They serve to retain and guide the track on the undercarriage, and in some
(positive drive) systems, engage the drive wheel to assist in power transfer in the manner of cogs.
The majority of Goodyear’s rubber tracks have a single row of guide/drive lugs that run down the
center of the track carcass. These lugs are generally restrained between paired idler and roller
wheels on the undercarriage. However, Goodyear also produces tracks having multiple rows of
guide/drive lugs (for example, dual rows at the edges of the track) for special applications.
