General Purpose Class Protection Work Conditions
General purpose vests do not meet the requirements for
performance level classification by ANSI standards. GP Vest
are to be used for occupational activities where Class 1
protection is not necessary. GP vests are designed to give the
wearer additional visual conspicuity beyond that of normal
attire.
General Purpose Class Industry Applications:
• Yard maintenance workers
• Crowd control
• Warehouse workers
• Construction
• Parking lot attendants
MCR Safety recommends the use of Value Series Class 2
vests for any Class 1 requirement.
