Snap-tite XL is our lightest weight, rubber covered fire hose that utilizes
high tensile strength nylon yarn in the reinforcing jacket to form an
interlocking matrix. The unique construction provides a flexible, kink resistant,
highly maneuverable hose which packs and coils easily.
XL is a high quality, lightweight fire hose that has application in hi-rise back
packs when a rubber hose is preferred.
Properties and Construction
• XL is an extruded thru-the-weave, nitrile rubber fire hose. The
reinforcement is made with circular woven, twill weave, nylon fibers.
• Highly resistant to both contact and radiant heat.
• Hose remains flexible to temperatures as low as -5°F (-20°C) and is
resistant to ozone, oxidation, and most chemicals or petroleum products.
• Maintenance free, no drying required, and is easily cleaned.
• Engineered for hi-rise applications but can be used as an alternative to
all types of conventional hose. It is designed to comply with BS 6391,
Type 2 applications.
• Snap-tite XL is manufactured in accordance with NFPA 1961 standard, latest
edition within our ISO-9001: 2000 certified quality assurance system.
