®
Non-Metallic Fasteners are made
up of two distinct product lines, the Alligator
®
Plastic Rivet System and the Alligator
®
Spiral
Lace Fastener System.
The
Alligator
®
Plastic Rivet Fasteners
were
developed to bring the many advantages of
mechanical belt fasteners to those applications
where metal belt fasteners could not be used.
They are external, cover-mounted fasteners
employing a one-piece, integrated design with
rivets molded into the top plates of the fasteners.
These rivets pass through pre-punched holes
and are formed over through our Spin-Set
TM
technology, compressing the fastener plates and
finishing the splice.
The
Alligator
®
Spiral Lace Fastener
system
was designed for small pulley, low-profile
applications. The fastener is constructed of
polyester webbing, spirals, and hinge pins. It is
installed by either insertion between the plies,
ply stepping, or finger splicing.
