Braided Flexible Graphite Packing

Part Number
Interbraid construction. Pure homogenous graphite bonded to a fiberglass
carrier for strength and thermal stability. Forms a dense yet pliable braided
packing. Recommended for use in condensate pumps, boiler water feed pumps,
and valves. Also recommended for rotating shafts with high shaft speeds where
thermal conductivity is required. Shaft speeds to 4000 FPM. Temperatures to
850° F/455° C in oxidizing atmospheres; 1250° F/675° C in steam. Pressure to
5000 PSI steam service; ph range 0-14. Packaged in 10 lb. boxes which may be
broken for smaller orders.

TFE Impregnated Non-asbestos Packing

Part Number
Interbraid construction. Yarns dipped in TFE suspensoid. Fibers are saturated
and sealed with TFE particles, protecting the fibers from chemical action. TFE
provides a greater degree of chemical inertness, lower coefficient of friction and
prevents penetration of chemical fluids. A surface coating of TFE is applied after
braiding for extra protection. To assure good break-in characteristics, a light oil is
applied. Recommended for general service, rotating and reciprocating pumps
and agitators. For caustics, mild acids, difficult chemicals, air, gases, solvents,
oils and general plant application. For pH 3-11; PV factor 650,000; temperatures
to 500°F/260°C; speeds to 1885 FPM. The proprietary TFE dispersion system
provides greater penetration and more thorough dissemination of the inert TFE.
Packaged in 10 lb. boxes, which may be broken for smaller orders.

Novoloid Fiber/PTFE Impregnated Packing

Part Number
Interbraid construction. Braided Novoloid fiber with PTFE impregnation,
lubricated with a unique lubrication process that transforms each individual fiber
into a reservoir of lubrication for longer packing life. An excellent high
performance alternative. Proprietary non-petroleum lubricant containing no
sulphur, silicone or wax. Recommended for rotating and reciprocating pumps,
washer journals, liquor pumps, refiners, digesters and many other uses. For
general service applications where graphite may not be acceptable: steam,
water, acid, chemical and solvent applications, multi-use in chemical plants and
pulp and paper mills. For shaft speeds up to 1800 FPM; temperatures up to
500°F/260°C; pH range 1–13 (except concentrated or hot sulfuric or nitric acid).
Packaged in 10 lb. boxes which may be broken for smaller orders.
